FC Sofia is a French artist duo based in Paris and composed of Catherine Sofia, born in 1966, and Frederic Sofia, born in 1967. Designer and graphic artist, they collaborate since 2007 to create works integrating the codes of Pop Art and the New Realists. Their objects, both figurative and design, are symbolic representations of globalized society and mass consumption. By confronting a sophisticated aesthetic with different cultural and sociological references, their work questions the constant ambivalence between human beings and their relationship to their environment, while offering an expiatory response.
